Big Boet Testimonials

The Following testimonial was sent by a School Teacher from Middelburg Combined School.

I teach Mathematics to Grade 7’s since the beginning of this term. Since I’ve started using Big Boet 2-3 (because they do not know their tables), a lot of children from other grades also came to join the after classes.  You should see the joy on their faces when the lower grades outperform the higher grades – or the boys outperform the girls. Only when the after class is very small, do I allow each individual to compete against one another. 

It is such a pleasure to see how they enjoy learning their tables without realizing that they are learning it.  The Big Boet 4-5 is still too difficult for them (Grade 7’s) , as they have a serious disadvantage to other schools, and was without a teacher during most of the first term.

The children love the Big Boet challenge so much that every week I get the same request: “Can we please have after classes on Saturdays as well?”  I don’t really know how much of it is for the love of the Big Boet program and how much is just to escape from their homes and the streets. But I do take the children (mostly from Nasaret) out of Nasaret on Friday afternoons, just to get them to relax in a save enviroment.

It makes teaching the basics once again so much easier and big fun.
