Smart Kids Pre School (Age 4-7)

Kappie for grade one children (age 7-9) has been developed to cover the language component of the grade one syllabus. It consists of four sections, each having five lessons.

The sections are as follows:
THE BIG TREE - I KNOW MY ABC’S
THE PLAINS - I CAN SPELL
THE ROCK - I CAN READ
THE RIVER - I CAN WRITE
 

Big Boet contains hundreds of exercises in each section which your child can master on his/her own and offers enough challenges. The level of difficulty is automatically controlled and adjusts to your child's performance.

As an incentive on good performance, a bonus game appears which also stimulates your child's thinking and concentration.

Phonemic awareness; covering beginning & ending consonant sounds, short vowel sounds, & rhyming sounds.
Spelling skills; covering 32 age specific word lists, sorted phonetically, with 4 different spelling games.
Reinforces spelling and vocabulary skills using sound, text and visual cues, including sentences for context.
Reading fluency; covering 32 graded passages with topics that will appeal to any reader.
Encourages improved reading ability by tracking the student’s reading speed, comprehension of what has been read, and selection of unfamiliar words.
Grammar rules and correct use; covering Adjectives, Alphabet, Calendar, Capitals & Full Stops, Colours, Compound Words, Nouns, Numbers, Opposites, Sentences, Time, Verbs and more.
Mathematics; covering basic addition and subtraction using randomly generated questions, with interactive tutorial support at each level.
Thinking skills; covering brainteasers, logic problems, word problems, sequencing, and general knowledge.
